Also insane: laptops make up 83% of the market for college students that own a computer.

They didn’t ask me, but I would be in the Apple category of the 87% of the 14%.
What surprises me is that only 14% is planning to buy a new computer in the next 12 months. That would mean that an average computer life cycle is 7 years, which I sincerely doubt, or that a lot of people buy computers unplanned (i.e. when their current one breaks down)
